He also worked on the development and maintenance of software systems to be used on medical imaging devices under the requirements and guidance of pertinent standards and regulations. Jiangkun holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Rochester, a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the same university, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Tsinghua University.
